Volunteers

Anyone interested in volunteering at KMS, please pick up a volunteer application form, they are always available in the front office.  Once you return it, you will begin getting emails with information regarding volunteer opportunities at KMS. It's a great way to meet wonderful people, make new friends, and get involved in your child's school.  Upcoming events at KMS include: Health Screening (no experience necessary), Faculty Breakfasts, Newsletters, Flu Mists, monitoring our annual Science Fair and more.
If you already filled out the volunteer application, THANK YOU.  If you filled out the application and have not received an email, check you spam folder and/or contact Roberta Vaes.  On the volunteer application, make sure your email address is legible! This could be a reason you're not receiving emails.

Please note: you will also need a completed volunteer application if you plan on volunteering at KMS in any way, this includes helping in a classroom, going on field trips, working in the media Center or volunteering at any Alachua County public school

Heart-to-Heart

What is Heart-to-Heart?
Heart to Heart is a PTA donation and exchange program designed to help our KMS students succeed by providing them with items necessary to perform at their best in our school.  Approximately 45% of our 2011-2012, 900+ students at KMS received free or reduced lunches or other assistance to offset a difficult economic situation in their homes.  Heart-to-Heart focuses on the providing support  to those students.

Who Benefits from Heart-to-Heart?
Our students whose families who may be struggling with an economic or social setback, or families who may be brand-new to our Coyote community and who may not be able to immediately purchase the items that are required.   Families are identified and assisted through our KMS Guidance Office.
